With over 14 years of experience in healthcare, Sana Kalra, PMHNP-BC, integrates strong clinical expertise with meaningful lived experience. As a BIPOC provider of Indian heritage and the daughter of first-generation immigrant parents, she understands how cultural expectations, generational patterns, and identity deeply influence mental health and wellness.
These experiences shape her client-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally aware approach. Sana meets each client with empathy, respect, and curiosity—integrating traditional psychiatry, ketamine-informed therapy, and functional medicine principles to support true whole-person healing.
Her clinical practice is also grounded in advanced training and ongoing professional development. Sana is certified in Ketamine Therapy & Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy through PRATI and has completed advanced training in Integrative & Functional Psychiatry through the Psychiatry Redefined Fellowship. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with a concentration in Adult–Geriatric Primary Care at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, further expanding her expertise in holistic, evidence-based care across the lifespan.
