An ADHD evaluation is a structured series of assessments designed to determine whether symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity are consistent with an ADHD diagnosis.
Many individuals with ADHD struggle with:
Difficulty staying focused & completing tasks
Chronic procrastination & forgetfulness
Disorganization in daily life, work, or school
Trouble managing time & meeting deadlines
Restlessness & impulsive decision-making
Emotional dysregulation & frustration
Our evaluations are comprehensive and evidence-based, considering your medical history, symptom patterns, and daily challenges to ensure an accurate diagnosis.
An ADHD evaluation may be right for you if you:
✔ Have difficulty focusing, organizing tasks, or completing projects
✔ Feel easily distracted, overwhelmed, or impulsive in daily life
✔ Experience time management struggles or chronic procrastination
✔ Have a history of academic, work, or personal challenges related to attention and executive function
✔ Are unsure if your symptoms are ADHD or another condition (e.g., anxiety, depression) and need proper diagnosis and insight.
✔ Undiagnosed ADHD can impact daily functioning, relationships, and career success—but with the right treatment, you can thrive.

✔ Step 1: Comprehensive Psychiatric Intake & Evaluation
A 60-minute psychiatric evaluation and assessment to review your symptoms, medical and mental health history, and day-to-day challenges.
✔ Step 2: Structured Diagnostic Screening (60 Minutes)
Includes diagnostic tools, mental health questionnaires, and ADHD-specific screeners. We also assess for other possible diagnoses and discuss treatment options if ADHD is not the primary concern at this time.
If ADHD criteria are met, an in-depth ADHD evaluation is scheduled. If not, we explore alternate treatment paths, provide appropriate referrals, or recommend neuropsychological testing when additional data is needed—especially in more complex cases.
Other mental health diagnoses may also be identified during this step, with recommendations for treatment or follow-up as clinically appropriate.

A thorough, evidence-based ADHD assessment to clarify diagnosis and functional impact. Along with review of findings and next steps, including diagnosis if criteria is met.

If your ADHD treatment includes stimulant medication, additional safety and regulatory steps are required to ensure responsible prescribing and patient well-being.
Required Before Starting Stimulant Medication:
Urine Drug Screen (UDS):
A UDS is required prior to initiating stimulant therapy. This ensures:
EKG and Medical Clearance:
An EKG is required for all patients prior to stimulant initiation. Additional medical testing or clearance from your PCP or cardiologist may be needed, especially if you have:
In-Person Visit Required:
Due to DEA regulations, patients must be seen in person before a stimulant prescription can be issued. This is a legal requirement and ensures proper evaluation and ongoing monitoring.
Please note: A neuropsychological evaluation is conducted by a licensed psychologist and may be required as part of your treatment plan. Appropriate referrals will be provided; however, it is the client's responsibility to find a provider who is in-network with their insurance and best suited for them.
ADHD Evaluation Policy for Clients Under Existing Psychiatric Care
We do not offer ADHD-only evaluations for individuals who are already under the care of a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner and intend to return to that provider for ongoing treatment.
Psychiatrists and PMHNPs are fully qualified to evaluate and diagnose ADHD. If you are currently receiving psychiatric care, we recommend discussing ADHD concerns with your existing provider, who can assess and manage these symptoms as part of your ongoing treatment.
Seeking a one-time ADHD evaluation solely to bring results back to another provider is not considered therapeutic or clinically appropriate. Our evaluations are part of a comprehensive treatment plan, and we only conduct them for individuals who are establishing ongoing care with our practice.
Thank you for understanding our commitment to ethical, integrated, and patient-centered care.
